Selection Criteria
Every FAHU-supported project should align with as many as possible of the following criteria:
Innovation
We pilot new methods, technologies, and approaches that can benefit the broader savings group sector.
Entrepreneurship
We support projects that help people improve their economic conditions.
Research
We invest in studies that generate new knowledge and scalable solutions.
Dissemination
We ensure lessons learned are shared with practitioners worldwide.
Sustainability
We create long-term impact that continues beyond project funding.
Measurable Goals
We require clear baselines, regular reporting, and thorough evaluations.
Selective Collaboration, Proven Results
FAHU doesn't accept unsolicited applications. Instead, we proactively identify and invite credible partners whose expertise can bring innovative savings group projects to life. This selective approach ensures every partnership is grounded in mutual respect, transparent communication, and shared commitment to measurable outcomes.
We maintain our "boots on the ground" philosophy by always supporting active intervention projects. This keeps us connected to real-world challenges and ensures our funding decisions are informed by practical experience rather than theory alone.
